Karl and Brigitta took over the winery from Karl’s parents in 1980. Back then it was a mixed farm with a few vineyards. They decided to quit farming and focus solely on winemaking, and they now run the winery with their children. The terroir is a combination of primordial granite, gneiss and mica slate soils and the loess soils, making it optimal for perfectly ripened grapes. Combined with warm days and cool nights, the Kamptal climate and soils offer optimal conditions.
Notes of ripe raspberry and tart gooseberry are warmed up with just a hint of paprika spiciness and dark black currant notes. It is perfectly balanced.
